Bupropion
Antidepressant and aid for smoking cessation.
Bupropion treats major depressive disorder, helps prevent seasonal depression (SAD) and supports smoking cessation by reducing nicotine cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
How to Take
Swallow tablets whole. Never crush, chew or split them. Take once daily in the morning. It can be taken with or without food. The usual target dose is 150–300 mg per day. Increase gradually.
Warnings
Lowers the seizure threshold. Do not use if you have a seizure disorder or an eating disorder. May raise blood pressure. May increase suicidal thoughts in young adults. Monitor mood closely. Do not combine with MAOIs. Avoid alcohol and do not stop suddenly.
