Furosemide
Fast-acting diuretic for shedding water weight and reducing bloating.
Furosemide is a fast-acting loop diuretic that helps shed excess water weight and reduce bloating. It works within an hour, and its effect lasts 6–8 hours.
How to Take
Take it in the morning or in the early afternoon if a second dose is needed to avoid waking up at night to urinate. The usual starting dose is 20–80 mg once daily. It can be taken with or without food. Avoid taking it close to bedtime.
Warnings
May cause dehydration and low potassium or sodium. It may cause dizziness or lightheadedness, especially when standing up. Use with caution alongside NSAIDs, ACE inhibitors or lithium.
